10 ways to spend time alone-easy & effective

 Hello everyone,
This is Sidratul Montaha and I am a student. Today, I will be writing on a topic named "10 Ways to spend time alone". There is a YouTube video of mine on my YouTube channel. The video will be given below, just click, watch, like, subscribe and share. THIS IS FREE!! COMPLETELY!!

Now, there are many ways of your own how you can spend time alone. Also, you guys have rules of your own to spend your free time with yourself. But I will be giving here 10 ways which are effective and productive too. So let's start.

1. Read a book or visit a library
This is actually one of my favorite parts because I love to read books daily because it keeps me away from stress. First of all, why I read books is it helps me to sleep well and when I am reading books I try to note down that information or try to share that information with my partner or companion or share with my social media friends. So, this is an advantage because when you share any information with your companion or friend, then you can build up communication skills, also it will help you to think more.

2. Clean your home
This point I learned from my mother because I've always seen her that she feels happy when she is with her household works. And it will be incomplete without mentioning that, she is a hygiene freak. So I sometimes ask her that, "Don't you feel tired doing all those household works every time?". And she just replied that it makes her soul happy doing her own work. Similarly, when I was in the hostel I had to do all my works by own, then I realized that yes, there's something really cool about doing your own work. You guys will feel the same too. Also, there's an advantage of doing your own work, you can easily remember when you need to find something because you've kept those things by yourself.

3. Browse your favorite channel or website
This is what I actually do every day. I love to scroll through my favorite youtube channels like "The urban fight", "Kharma medic", "Ali Abdal" etc. I really like their videos and I try to work like them because they mention different productivity tips every day. Now, what you have to do is roam your favorite channels or websites and collect information from those sites and try to use them in your own life. You will observe that you will get new ideas every day, new tips and you can change your habits.

4. Roam your neighborhood
This is a point which someone doesn't like. But still, you can try this if you have a good connection with your neighborhood people. But you cant be those TYPICAL aunties who always like to stay in front of their doors and gossip all day. Don't be like that. Instead, you can be free with your neighbors like if you cooked something good one day, you can send some of that food to your neighborhood. Also, you and your neighbors can see the sunset in the evening time and gossip or drink tea for a moment. But, if you do not find someone good in your neighborhood and try to do something different aside from this point.

5. Drink water
Also, one of my favorites because water helps me to recall things and memorize things earlier. I have a flask filled with water always on my reading table and when I start studying I drink water and study continuously which helps me to keep hydrated, helps in recalling things and I stay motivated. You can also try something like this, whatever drink which keeps your mind settled in one position but be careful, don't try something while studying which will drain your battery.

6. Cook for a day
You should try cooking weekly or monthly, doesn't matter you can cook or not. You can try and practice which will help you to learn slowly. You can try cooking seeing different new recipes and get to taste it to your friends and family and earn points from them which will help you to know how much you are learning. In this time, you can get new ideas in mind, you can get to know yourself.

7. Try a new hairstyle
This is all girls favorite. But I don't know why I can't do new hairstyles. Doesn't matter, I try other things too. So, this does work. Because, when you are doing new hairstyles obviously you will get new ideas and also you can remember you left works of the day or upcoming works if you have.

8. Pray daily
This I will tell everyone to do, doesn't matter from which religion you are. You can meditate, pray and this is the best time to find the best for you. What I do is, I try to pray in a clean area where I can easily be able to think, then I try to concentrate and I try to pray away from crowds and in a dim light area, which really helps me to pray with concentration. So you guys can try it too.

9. Redecorate your room
This is also like cleaning your own house. But you can try to redecorate your room after a week or months. For example, if you have your cupboard on the west this week, try to revamp it on the east this week. Then, when you sit in your bed and checkout your room, you will start feeling different. Like you will feel you've come to a new place. And what happens when you get to a new place? You feel refreshed, you feel energized and you can think better.

10. Write a letter to future "YOU"
This is the most important and the last way which is for everyone. You can write a letter to you for your future you. How you can write it? Write one of the good habits that you want to make your identity, write one of the bad habits that you want to leave in the next  2 years, write a good thing or work which you want to continue in your future. If you have that notebook or notes save after 5 years, then check out whether have you left the bad habit, whether you are continuing that good habit or work. And start working according to that. Appreciate yourself for having that good habit even after 5 years and start working on the bad habit which one you couldn't leave.

Why small habits matter? MUST TO READ!

Were you ever been impatient for that 1%? Like for example, you are sitting in front of your desktop and your YouTube video is tucked at 99% loading page and when that 1% completes, your video will start running. This is the time when you want that 1% to be completed badly. Yes! 1% change in your life matters. It matters when you want to build your identity when you want to make something your habit for a lifetime (In this case, I'll be suggesting good habits).

Now, I will give a small highlight of my whole blog so that you will get interested to read further.

Small habits+time= Permanent change

This equation is straightforward, for that reason, this blog post is mandatory for everyone to give a read and try to build their identity. In the below portion, there will be some key points and explanation which will try to help you understand.

1. The lion and the mouse
I just want to briefly describe this childhood story but life learning in few words. This story is where a small life, the mouse made a huge difference while cutting the net on which the lion was tucked. So, why I mentioned this story tag? Because here the small made a difference.
Now, let's say the 'small' here in this topic, is a habit. But it's the truth that we don't want a small change, we want something bigger, that will make more fame, more money, more respect. Right? But my friend, the smaller marginal gains also matters, I mean it matters a lot. Let's see 'Why you need to get 1% better every day to reach the peak of great change"

Sometimes, we try to make few changes in our daily habits but if you check the result of this transformation in your habit the next day, you'll never see that much difference. Why? Because, you haven't wait for that transformation to be permanent, that's why you slide back into your previous routine. Now get back to my equation above, you are seeing a part that is 'time' which is added with habit. Now, if you don't give time to your habit so that it can become permanent, then you have to add time as much as possible. That means you have to be patient.

2. Why 1% matter?
Just imagine, you're riding a car and you are on that part of the road of which on few degrees right is the airport and the few degrees left from the middle is the beach. Now, you are leaving for the airport and for some reason, your car just moved on the left for a few degrees change of the steering, where will you be now? On the beach, right? But what was your destination?

This is an example of how real that 1% change in your life matters. You will not observe the change with a snap of your finger, sometimes it takes time to realize that great change but sometimes you'll understand that result instantly. So, 1% change here and there, leads to a change of habit which you'll feel after reaching that destination.

3. The Plateau of latent potential
This is the thing which I've got to learn from the book "Atomic Habits" by James Clear. Everyone who reads this book must have gone through this portion.
Let me uphold an example for making this clear to you, you're running on the treadmill for about 1 month. But, you aren't seeing that much change you want before you start running. One day, suddenly you go into the weight measuring machine and observed that wow! I'm out of 3 pounds. Wait! How did that happen? Did it happen because YESTERDAY I WAS RUNNING 1 MINUTE MORE THAN THE OTHER DAY ON THAT TREADMILL? No dude! This is the result of the whole month, the energy you've given to lose weight in 1 month. The change is because of that. But at first, you thought that "Yesterday night was magical".

Why at first this thing got to your mind? Because you haven't crossed the "Plateau of latent potential". This is the part after which your action transfer into results. Therefore, your work wasn't wasted, it was just stored. So, MASTERY NEEDS PATIENCE AS JAMES CLEAR SAID!

4. Run after systems, Goals will be after you
Why do we want to change our habits? Because, you've learned from childhood that if you don't have good habits, you won't have perfect goals and success will slip away. So, you need to have good habits. Now, you know your goals, but do you know how to get there? In short, do you know the system? Yes, this is the thing I will talk about that, why you should focus on 'system' rather than focusing on goals.

The system is the sequence or the process which will take you to your goals. As for going on an adventure, you have to enjoy traveling because the real enjoyment lies in traveling which ends after reaching the destination. Similarly, try to take the system seriously, rather than taking the goals. If you want to reach your destination successfully, you have to take care of traveling or here, the system first.

Just imagine, in the class in which Mark Zuckerberg was, there were more students like him who were as passionate as Mark. But why did Mark become so successful, but his friends are doing small jobs or something which is less than Mark's? This is because, Mark was somehow focusing on his system, his daily laws, whereas his friends were thinking about the goal only and working according to that. I am not saying that you don't have to focus on your goal. You have to fix your goal but you have to work for your system.

My goal is to be a doctor in Medicine, my friend's goal is to be an engineer. And we used to say "Until I don't reach my destination, I will not be happy or not sit calmly". This is the thing everyone thinks. But is this correct? I mean, you really don't know whether you will be in the future or not! So, don't destroy your daily happiness on goals. Goals can restrict your happiness. It doesn't mean that if you don't reach your goal then disappointment will cover you. Chances are always with you. So, what you have to do is just stay calm and focus on the system.
